"Expansion Joints - Types, Analysis and Design"

This presentation will include the installation of expansion joints for building envelopes, plaza decks, parking structures, stadiums, waste water treatment facilities, potable water tanks, pools and fountains. Topics will consist of proper joint design, detailing, typical problems, failure analysis and product technologies (both new and old). Application of expansion joints for watertightness, noise abatement (acoustical), fire resistance ratings, air barriers and tamper resistance will be discussed.
